Mike Elsass is one of the nicest and caring artists in the arts district in Downtown Dayton. He has a huge gallery with pieces that go upward of 6 to 10 ft tall and weight hundreds of pounds. He creates pieces of art out of scrap metal and layer upon layer of paint, mixing yarn, sand, and other mediums to give interesting and mesmerizing pieces. With all of his work around, I was able to show his layering with each section, pulling in organically ripped kraft paper next to squared off sections. Giving the site an organic and chaotic look pulling deep inspiration from his art and process. Mike also was one of the main founders of the Arts District in Downtown Dayton, and wanted to highlight all of the cool art that's being created in Dayton.
